How does DMC work

Date My Closet is a luxury fashion rental platform which allows you to rent from the most stylish closets around you and also lend your designer wear and let your fashion pay you back. We provide you access to an unlimited closet – so say bye to buy and change your fashion everyday!

If you would like to rent, you have the option of renting garments of India’s top fashion designers – Shantanu & Nikhil, Nikasha, Vikram Phadnis, Kavita Bhartia and many more at a fraction of the cost. You can book the garment from two days up to two months in advance. We offer custom fitting for each garment and allow you to book the garment for the duration of 3, 5 or 8 days. Returns & Cancellations

What if the garment doesn’t fit me correctly?

We hoped for your garment to fit you perfectly – but on very rare occasions, the fit isn’t as good as you like it, which is totally understandable & DMC is at your rescue. Simply email us on info@datmycloset.com or call us at +91 9999680179 within 12 hours of receiving of your order. We will try to re-fit the item for you or send you another item of your choice. You can also request a full refund if the measurements of garment are different from those approved by you.

I want to cancel my order
That’s unfortunate – we would love to get a chance to serve you again. Cancellations are possible within 24 hours of placing the order. Please call at +91 9999680179 or email us on info@datemycloset.com with your order number, phone number and  reason for cancellation.

QCare

Is my item clean and hygienic?

Date My Closet takes hygiene and product care very seriously. We have partnered with international dry cleaners, and dry clean each garment before sending it to you. You will receive the garment in pristine condition – steam ironed, fitted to your size and dry-cleaned. Our care extends to our accessories too – we sterilize each item before you receive it.

What do I have to do to take care of the item?

NOTHING at all! Just rock your item, completely stress free! Your garments are dry cleaned and accessories sterilized before delivery. Post usage, the dry-cleaning is on us again! So you never need to worry about cleaning the garment before or after use.

We sent the garment steam ironed to you – so please do not iron the garment. Fabrics are sensitive and can be ruined when they come in contact with an iron directly. At the same time, we recognise that sometimes garments get creases – and no one likes that! IF required, please only use non contact steam iron on the garment. We try to best to make sure that you don’t have to do that either.

Lastly, the garment is altered to fit you perfectly. The size will exactly match the measurements you provided us. Please do not alter the garment at home. Damages will be borne by the customer in this case. Penalties will be imposed in the form of reduction of security deposit & potential buying out of the garment.

What does custom fit mean?

Date My Closet fits each garment to match your size. Once you place the order, you will receive a call from our team of professional designers to schedule a visit (if you are based in Delhi/NCR) or video call on your preferred date and time to take your measurements. We will use this data to alter the garment to match your size in our studio. Please note that each garment can only be altered within a certain range – this range has been specified on the product page. Do take that into account when placing your order to avoid any disappointment. To provide you an example, if you waist is 26, you should not order garments with a waist range of 28-34. We advice that you keep the delivery date a day in advance of your occasion in case you would like to check the size once.

Can I just make small alterations at home for the perfect fit?

We have very strict policies against alterations done by customers. Garment care is of extreme importance to us – we handle each item with a lot of care and follow a certain methodology for alternations as well. If you find out that any alterations have done by the customer, we will deduce the entire security deposit. We also reserve the right to ask you to buy the item under consideration.

Deposits

How much security deposit is to be paid?

20% of the retail price of the garments and 10% of the retail price of accessories is charged as security deposit. The exact amount is mentioned on the product page.

The security deposit is fully refundable if the item is returned in a condition – that anyone could wear it again. This could be confusing, so let us explain. We understand that beads fall, minor spills and lipstick & perfume stains happen – we wouldn’t charge you for this. But, if there is larger damage to the item, whereby cost of repair is high, then we will deduct partial or full value of the deposit on our discretion.

How do I get the security deposit back?

After your item has been picked up, it goes through a quality check, post which we will be refunding you the deposit. Our service executive will ask you in advance how you would like to refund to take place. You will receive the deposit back within 7 days of pick up. Our executives will ask you for your bank details and credit your account with the money. You also have the option of using the deposit as points which you can redeem within one year for any transactions.

Delivery

We delivery to Delhi/NCR currently. But can make exceptions (at an extra cost) if that will make you happy. Drop us an email on info@datemycloset.com and we will reply to you within 24 hours.

We are looking to expand and deciding which new city to launch in. So if we are not currently in your city, please drop us an email on info@datemycloset.com and we will try our best to be there as soon as possible.
